FAQ

Questions, answered.

The things companies ask us most. If yours isn't here, ask us — a discovery call is the fastest way to a straight answer.

What exactly is Avellion? +
Avellion is your company's own AI assistant. It connects to the tools you already use — chat, email, files, CRM — and works on the tasks that eat your team's day: answering questions from your documents, drafting proposals and reports, and running recurring workflows. It runs on hardware in your own building.
Where does the AI actually run? +
On a server inside your building, on your network. We set it up, connect it to your tools, and train your team. It is not a cloud service and not a third-party API.
Do my documents and data leave my network? +
No. That's the whole point. Processing happens on-prem, on models running on your hardware. Your contracts, customer data and financials are never uploaded to a frontier provider.
What's the difference from a frontier cloud chatbot? +
A frontier chatbot works on your data only by sending it out to someone else's servers first, and it bills you by "usage" — the more you use it, the more you pay, without a meter you can actually read. Avellion runs where your business runs, on a fixed cost, and is configured around your workflows rather than being a shared model pointed at your inbox.
How does a "scan" of my company work? +
It's a discovery call plus a short, structured look at your processes and data. We map what's repetitive, what's slow, and what's worth automating — then we come back with a concrete proposal. You approve it before we build anything. No obligation.
Why don't you put prices on the website? +
Because the right setup depends on your workflows, your data, and the hardware that fits your building. We'd rather give you a real number for your specific situation than a generic one. You get that in the proposal — or on a discovery call.
How long does it take to get a working Assistant? +
From scan to a working Assistant in weeks, not quarters. We usually start with the single workflow that hurts most, prove it, then expand.
What do I actually have to do? +
You frame the task and you approve the result. In practice: about 10% of the work is your input — the goal and the context. About 80% is Avellion doing the work on your hardware. The final 10% is your review and approval. It never sends anything external without your go-ahead.
Do we need to buy a lot of hardware? +
It depends on your scale and the data you're running. We scope the hardware to the job — enough to run the Assistant well, not a data-center. The proposal will tell you exactly what's needed and why.
Is this suitable for regulated or data-sensitive industries? +
Yes — it's designed for exactly that. On-prem is built for data-sovereignty requirements: GDPR, works councils, industry 4.0, and the regulated sectors that can't send data to a cloud API. Headquartered in Slovenia, we're EU-based by default.
What do we need to do to get started? +
Two options: send us a short description of a problem you'd like to hand off (use the Request a proposal form), or book a discovery video call. Either way, we come back with a concrete proposal.
